Guests often comment that our home exceeded their expectations. It's probably because of all the local materials and the attention to detail. There are local hard-wood floors throughout (even the bathrooms and kitchen), custom stained glass windows, granite counter tops, and lots of original artwork. There's also an outdoor shower, two beach cruiser and two mountain bikes, purified (by reverse osmosis) drinking water, your own water well with whole house ultra violet filtration system (no worries about running out of water or other problems association with "catchment systems" that are common in our area), solar-heated hot water, various board games, some good Hawaiiana books, various floaty pool toys, and plenty of etc.

Beach Road Home

This top floor, corner unit was chosen for its location when given first choice of any unit in the building. It was an obvious choice as the ocean and mountain view are superb! Puako is a highly desirable neighborhood. It is an established beach community of about 120 homes along about a friendly 35 MPH road. People walk/run and ride bikes along the length of the road.  The 1974 building has the luxury of being built in a different time--the grounds have many fruit trees and lovely old mature flowing trees. It has a great low-key vibe.  The lanai spans the entire unit, so you can access it from either the Master Bedroom or the Living Area.  Puako Store, a small, but well-stocked grocery/liquor store is steps away -- super convenient if you do not want to cook, or forgot to bring something with you.  Ride the bikes to many great beach spots or high-end resorts. Really!

The Venetian plastered walls and ceiling and wood floors give a wonderful feel to the studio while the vintage Rattan furniture is charming and comfortable. The natural edge Mango Wood Bar has the view! The kitchen has hardwood cabinets and granite counter tops. A full-sized refrigerator makes longer stays easy. Coffee maker, french press, coffee grinder, microwave, toaster, all stainless pans, and plenty of kitchen ware are all there for your use.

Direct View to "Magic Sands Beach" which often has dolphins playing just offshore! Free and Convenient parking. Outdoor BBQ in the back of the building, or at the Beach Park across the street. Just far away from town to see stars at night, and the Kona Trolley can take you the few miles north to the heart of Kailua-Kona if needed.
